Cannock Chase Council's Housing and Building Safety team has been shortlisted for Safety and Compliance Team of the Year at the ASCP Awards 2026.

The award is run by the Association of Safety Compliance Professionals and recognises teams that demonstrate outstanding work in collaboration, innovation, and improving safety for residents.

Team Recognition

The team has been praised for expanding successfully, improving processes across the council, and maintaining high performance standards that keep residents safe in their homes. The team has also built a supportive culture despite facing challenging circumstances.

Councillor Rhys Mandry, Portfolio Leader for Housing and Corporate Assets, said the nomination was well-deserved recognition of the team's dedication to ensuring residents feel safe in their homes and their commitment to continuous improvement.

Awards Ceremony

The awards ceremony takes place on 8 September at the International Convention Centre in Newport.
